Be a Member of Noah’s Ark Group

Today was International Children’s Day, and I had planned to go back to Alma mater with several friends to spend the Children’s Day, to review the worry-free time of a child. However, things do not turn out as one wish. Just about one hour before the dismissing time, note came that there was something wrong with the ball mill in Jiaopingdu Shengda ore-dressing factory, so I and another two colleagues (Mr. Zhu and Xiao Li) were dispatched there to inspect and settle the problem. I had no choice, but called off the plan. Work comes first.
We hastily collected some clothes and tools, and then went to Huangtupo to take a bus.
After a rough journey, we arrived there at noon the next day. It was the first time for me to go on business trip and I had little experience on settling problems on site, so I put all hopes on Mr. Zhu and Xiao Li, for they were senior members in the company.
After a careful inspection, we found that the problem was caused by serious wear of the pinion, which must be replaced. By negotiating with the customer, decision was made that the custom, accompanied by Xiao Li, returned to our company to buy a new set of pinion, and Mr. Zhu and I stayed here, waiting for them.
The temperature of Jiaopingdu was intolerant high, up to 40 sometimes. Each day there, we had to drink cold water to cool ourselves in day time, and had a bath in cold water before falling asleep. The day after Xiao Li left, I could not bear the terrible weather and said to Mr. Zhu, “It will be ok when the pinion is transported here and replaced, so it is no need for us to wait here. The weather is severe, and we’d better go back now. ” But he replied, “Forget it. Since we were dispatched here to settle the problem, we must ensure all is right before we go back. We cannot do a thing by halves. ”
It was the third day when Xiao Li came back. We replaced worn pinions with the new ones, and the machine came back to normal in the test. Xiao Li told us that he had not sleep for three days and nights, but fortunately the problem was settled in the end and all our efforts were not in vain.
We finally boarded on the bus back to Kunming and left the hell-like place. It ought to be a cheerful time; however, I could not relax and be happy, but feel ashamed. As a designer, I should be the core strength to deal with the problem, but I did not bring up any solution and nearly became a “lamaster”.
I learnt a lot about how to conduct myself and deal with others in this trip. When in a position, do it with all hearts. The success of Noah’s Ark Group is created by the staff, like Mr. Zhu and Xiao Zhang, who fulfill their duties and devote themselves to the company. I believe that they will be remembered by generations of Ark People.
